What is an escape room?
An escape room is a shared group experience in a themed room. You search for clues, combine information, solve puzzles, and work your way through a story step by step.
The goal is to complete the mission within the allotted game time. Teamwork, communication, alertness, and logical thinking are at the heart of the experience.
How does an escape room work at Final Escape?
Before the game, you will receive a brief introduction to the process and the most important rules. Then, your mission begins in the booked escape room.
During the game, you investigate the room, discover clues, and solve various tasks together. After the game, the experience ends with a short debrief by the local team.
How long does an escape room last?
Many escape rooms have a pure playing time of about 60 minutes. The exact duration may vary depending on the room and the Final Escape location.
Please plan additional time for your arrival, the introduction, and the wrap-up. You can find the binding game time in the description of the respective escape room.
How many people can play together?
The recommended and maximum possible group size depends on the respective escape room. Generally, 2–6 people play in one escape room.

Which Final Escape locations are there?
In Germany, there are locations in Berlin, Bremen, Erfurt, Flensburg, Kiel, Lübeck, and Rostock. Additionally, Final Escape is also available in Switzerland with locations in Basel and Zurich.

Booking and Preparation
Do I need to book an escape room in advance?
Prior online booking is recommended. This allows you to check which escape rooms and dates are available at your desired location.
You should book as early as possible, especially on weekends, during holidays, or for group events.
Can I book an escape room spontaneously?
Short-term booking is possible if a slot and a staff member are still available at the desired location.
You can see current availability in the respective booking system. Without a prior booking, we cannot guarantee that a suitable room will be free.
How early should we arrive before the game?
Please arrive at our branch 15 minutes before your game time. This allows enough time for registration and the introduction.
What happens if we arrive late?
If you arrive late, your available playing time may be shortened. In some cases, a later start is no longer possible due to subsequent bookings.
Therefore, please contact the booked location as early as possible if your arrival is delayed.
Can we change or cancel a booking?
Whether a booking can be rescheduled or canceled depends on the terms and conditions of the respective Final Escape location.

How much does an escape room cost?
Prices may vary depending on the location, escape room, date, and group size.

What clothing should we wear?
It is best to wear comfortable clothing that you can move well in. In some escape rooms, you may need to climb or crawl. Please take this into account when choosing your clothes and shoes.
Difficulty and Player Experience
Are escape rooms suitable for beginners?
Yes, our escape rooms are also suitable for players without previous experience.
You don’t need any special prior knowledge. Curiosity, keen observation, communication, and teamwork are more important than previous escape room experience.
Which escape room is suitable for first-timers?
For your first visit, we recommend a room with a theme that appeals to your entire group. If you are unsure, you can contact the desired Final Escape location directly.
How difficult are the escape rooms at Final Escape?
How challenging an escape room is perceived to be cannot be determined across the board. It depends, among other things, on the individual strengths, experience, and cooperation of your group.
While some teams are particularly good at logical thinking, others solve tasks through precise observation, clear communication, or clever distribution of tasks. Therefore, the decisive factor is not a fixed level of difficulty, but how you work together as a team.
Do we receive hints during the game?
Yes, if you are stuck on a puzzle for a while, the Game Master will intervene in a way that fits the story and their role.
This support blends organically into the experience without interrupting the atmosphere or the flow of the game.
What happens if we don't solve the mission in time?
If you do not solve the escape room within the allotted game time, the game ends regularly when the time expires.
You will then find out how the story or the remaining puzzles continue. Even without a complete solution, the shared experience remains the focus.
Do we need to be particularly athletic?
For most escape rooms, no special physical fitness is required.
If a room involves physical requirements, narrow areas, or special movements, this will be indicated in the respective room description.
Safety and Well-being
Are you really locked in an escape room?
The doors in our escape rooms are locked with electromagnets. Right next to each door is an emergency button that you can use to open it yourself at any time.
If an emergency button is pressed, the game ends, as the escape room must then be reset. If only one person feels uncomfortable or wants to leave the room, you can let the Game Master know at any time. The person concerned can then be taken out of the game without canceling the session.
Are the escape rooms supervised during the game?
Yes, every game is supervised by a Game Master who follows the progress at all times.
The Game Master can provide appropriate tips if needed and intervene if support is necessary or a special situation arises.
Are the escape rooms scary?
The atmosphere varies depending on the escape room. Some rooms are designed to be family-friendly or adventurous, while others can be dark, suspenseful, or frightening.
Therefore, pay attention to the description, the age recommendation, and any notes regarding the respective room.
Can I play during pregnancy?
Whether an escape room is suitable during pregnancy depends on the atmosphere and the physical requirements of the room.

For school classes, we offer a discounted flat rate across all locations: students and teachers play from Monday to Friday for games starting by 1:00 PM for €19 per person.

Language and Accessibility
In which languages can the escape rooms be played?
At all Final Escape locations, you can play the escape rooms in German or English. If different language regulations apply to a specific room, you will find a corresponding note on the respective room page.
Simply indicate your desired game language when booking so that the escape room can be prepared appropriately for your group.
Do I need good German skills?
Basic knowledge of German is helpful, as some escape rooms may contain text-based clues and puzzles. This ensures that all information in the game is well understood.

Can international groups play together?
International groups can play together if at least one person in the group can speak German or English.
Vouchers and Payment
Are there vouchers for Final Escape escape rooms?
Yes, at Final Escape you can purchase monetary vouchers in various amounts as well as time-limited promotional vouchers. The vouchers are suitable as gifts for couples, families, groups of friends, colleagues, and teams.
How do Final Escape vouchers work?
The recipients decide for themselves which escape room, which date, and which Final Escape location they would like to visit.
Regular monetary vouchers are treated like cash. Since prices can vary depending on the booking day and time, the booking value may differ from the voucher value. Any unused remaining value can be used for the next adventure. For promotional vouchers, the remaining value may expire—this will be pointed out during booking.
How long are vouchers valid?
Vouchers are valid until the end of one year after the end of the calendar year in which they were purchased.
A voucher purchased in 2026, for example, is therefore valid until 31 December 2027.
Can vouchers be extended?
No, please note the validity of the voucher and book your escape room adventure well before the deadline expires.
Which payment methods are accepted?
You can pay for your booking with PayPal, credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Klarna.
