Every Saturday in October: Extra horror at "Bloody Awakening"

Escape Room FAQ

Here you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about escape rooms, bookings, age recommendations, group sizes, vouchers, and Final Escape.

Escape Rooms at Final Escape Berlin

At Final Escape Berlin, you immerse yourselves in one of six stories, right in Prenzlauer Berg. As wrongfully imprisoned individuals, you search for your predecessors’ escape route in Prison Break, explore the abandoned Lichtenstadt Clinics in Bloody Awakening, fight your way through a machine-dominated city in Robot Paranoia, or follow a centuries-old legend in The Ghost Ship. Each mission only succeeds if you combine your observations as a team.

You arrive at our branch at Prenzlauer Allee 23, between Kollwitzkiez and Winsviertel, three tram stops from Alexanderplatz. The Game Master greets you, explains the story and rules, and then you have 60 minutes for your mission. Afterwards, there’s a debriefing and, if desired, a group photo.

The game time in all Berlin rooms is 60 minutes. With check-in, introduction, and debriefing, you should allow approximately 90 minutes in total. So, if you want to explore the neighborhood afterward, it’s easily doable in an afternoon or evening.

Most Berlin rooms are designed for two to six people. You play Bloody Awakening with three or more people, Last Human with a maximum of five. Multiple rooms can be booked in parallel, allowing up to 35 people to play simultaneously.

No, in Berlin, Final Escape has one location: Prenzlauer Allee 23, 10405 Berlin, three tram stops from Alexanderplatz. Other locations in Germany include Bremen, Erfurt, Flensburg, Kiel, Lübeck, and Rostock, and in Switzerland, Basel and Zurich.

Directions and Surroundings

Take Tram M2 from Alexanderplatz three stops to Metzer Straße, then it’s about a 2-minute walk. Alternatively, take U2 to Senefelderplatz and walk about 5 minutes up Prenzlauer Allee. You can reach Alexanderplatz from all over the city with S-Bahn lines S5, S7, and S9.

The nearest parking garage is on Saarbrücker Straße, about a 6-minute walk away. The entire area has paid parking management (weekdays 9 AM–8 PM, Saturdays 9 AM–6 PM), and street parking in the side streets often requires a few rounds to find. If you’re coming by car, plan an extra 15 minutes.

Around Kollwitzplatz and Wasserturm, there are numerous cafés, bars, and restaurants. The Kulturbrauerei and Mauerpark are within easy walking distance, and Alexanderplatz with its TV Tower is just three tram stops away.

Final Escape Berlin

Absolutely. All rooms and introductions are available in English, and you can reach us from Alexanderplatz in just a few minutes. Many guests combine an Escape Room with a stroll through Prenzlauer Berg; especially on rainy days, it’s a welcome change from sightseeing. Book as early as possible during peak travel season.

Booking and Preparation

Yes, it’s best to book online in advance. The calendar directly shows you which rooms are available for your desired date. Demand is particularly high on weekends, during Berlin school holidays, and in peak travel season.

Yes, if there’s an appointment available, even on the same day. Just check the online calendar or call us at 030 200033059 before you leave.

Please arrive 15 minutes before your game starts at Prenzlauer Allee 23. This allows enough time for check-in, coat check, and introduction.

A delay usually reduces your game time, as the rooms are tightly scheduled. Therefore, please notify us as early as possible at 030 200033059 if you will be late.

Yes, you can cancel your booking independently up to 48 hours before the appointment. All details are also in your booking confirmation.

Comfortable clothing and sturdy shoes are ideal. In some Berlin rooms, you may need to crawl in places, so clothing that allows freedom of movement and can get dirty is the best choice.

Difficulty and Player Experience

Yes, all rooms in Berlin can be played without prior experience. More important than prior knowledge are curiosity, close observation, and good team communication.

For beginners, we recommend The Puppeteer or Prison Break: Both are playable from age 10 with adult supervision and offer a great atmosphere. If you already have experience and strong nerves, try Bloody Awakening. If you are unsure, we are happy to advise you at 030 200033059 or by email at berlin@final-escape.de.

There is no fixed scale, as each team has different strengths. The Puppeteer and Prison Break are good entry-level rooms, Robot Paranoia and Last Human challenge you with pace and an apocalyptic atmosphere, and Bloody Awakening primarily tests your nerves.

Yes, your Game Master is with you via video the entire time and will give you a hint as soon as you get stuck. This often happens in line with the story, sometimes even in character.

When time is up, the game is over, but no one leaves without a resolution. Together with the Game Master, you’ll go through the remaining puzzles and find out how your story would have ended.

No, special athleticism is not required. However, in some Berlin rooms, you may need to crawl in places. If this is difficult for someone, please let us know in advance, and we will recommend a suitable room.

Safety and Well-being

The doors of our Berlin rooms are locked with electromagnets, but next to each door there is an emergency button that you can use to open them at any time. In case of a power outage, the doors automatically unlock. If the button is pressed, the game ends for everyone. If only one person needs to step out briefly, inform the Game Master, and the rest will continue playing.

Every game in Berlin is supervised by a Game Master, who monitors your room via video throughout and can intervene at any time.

That depends on the room. Bloody Awakening in the abandoned clinic is our scariest Berlin room and more for those with strong nerves. The Puppeteer plays with a mystical atmosphere, while Prison Break, Robot Paranoia, Last Human, and The Ghost Ship focus on adventure, pace, and suspense.

That depends on the room, as in some Berlin rooms, crawling is required, and some contain startling effects. Please contact us before booking, and we will recommend a suitable room. For health-related questions, please consult a doctor beforehand regarding participation.

No, our Berlin location and the Escape Rooms are unfortunately not barrier-free, and crawling is required in some rooms. Please contact us with specific needs before booking, and we will jointly check what is possible.

Yes, international groups are part of our daily routine in Berlin. All six rooms and introductions are available in German and English; you simply choose the language when booking. This works for teams from Berlin’s start-up scene as well as for friends on a city trip. At least one person in the team should speak German or English.

Vouchers and Payment

Yes, you can purchase value vouchers of various amounts as well as limited-time promotional vouchers. On-site in Berlin, already purchased vouchers can also be issued as a hardcover print, ideal for gifting.

With the voucher, you can freely choose the room and date; it is also valid at all other Final Escape locations in Germany. Value vouchers are treated like cash, and any remaining balance is retained for your next visit. For promotional vouchers, a residual value may expire, which we will indicate during booking.

Vouchers are valid until the end of the calendar year following the year of purchase. A voucher from 2026, for example, can be redeemed until December 31, 2027. An extension is not possible.

At Final Escape Berlin, you can conveniently pay online with PayPal, credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Klarna. Payment is made directly at the time of booking.
